For the past 6 years The River have been forging their own brand of
Doom Metal incorporating seriously heavy riffing, enchanting female
vocals & lashings of melody culminating in 2003's 'Oneiric Dirges in
Mono'. The band's 3rd demo, it sold 600 copies worldwide including
2 releases via Polish label Foreshadow Productions & enabled the band to
play live throughout 2004 suppoting the likes ot The Lord Weird Slough Feg,
Reverend Bizarre, Brocas Helm & Esoteric amongst others. Since then
the band has recorded their new demo 'Different Ways to be Haunted'.
A much more professional recording in terms of songwriting, productions &
overall presentation, the band have already played live in support of the
new material at the prestigious Doom Shall Rise festival in Germany &
sold 200 copies since recording in March. More live dates are
scheduled for the rest of the year & new songs have already been
completed for the next release. The haunting continues...
